1. Avoid Overfeeding your Pet

It is important not to overfeed your pet because they easily get fat. You have to know that obesity is a major problem for this type of breed due to their small size body. Feeding your pet with hay regularly won't be a problem but you have to take caution in serving pellets, fruits with high sugar contents and vegetables.

2. Check you Rabbit's Teeth

You will find that the head of a Holland Lop is small as compared to any other breeds. This can actually cause problems with their teeth so you have to check your pet's teeth regularly. If your rabbit suddenly stops eating then it is a sign that you pet is suffering from a dental problem. Thus, bring it right away to a vet for check-up.

3. Offer your Pet a Huge-Sized Hutch

You might be thinking why you need a huge rabbit hutch for a small creature. To let you know, small rabbits tends to be more active as compared to those larger breeds. They actually need a hutch with at least 4 to 5 times their size to accommodate themselves with the space that they need.

4. Weather Conditions

During the cold winter and hot summer seasons, your Holland Lop will greatly be affected by such sudden extreme change of temperature. This can be fatal to them that can lead to their death. Thus, you have to provide them some sort of compartment wherein they can keep themselves cool during summer and warm during winter.

5. Be Cautious About your Pet

Holland Lops can be playful that they enjoy running around especially at a wide environment such as inside your house. The problem is that they might get caught under your feet. If you have a house surrounded by fences then you can set-lose your pet to play outside. You just have to make sure that the fences doesn't enough gaps where your rabbit might attempt to escape through.
